Maintenance Mechanic
Salary: Starting at $58,500 per year
Primary responsibilities will center on performing minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry maintenance and repair, to include preventative maintenance on HVAC, manufacturing equipment and general facility maintenance.

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment such as pumps, HVAC equipment, controls, compressed air systems, steam boilers, air handling units etc.
- Responsible for maintaining the Preventative Maintenance Procedure (MFG-P-300) and the PM log (MFG-D-301) for all facility equipment to include production and fabrication. Responsible individual will work closely with the Assembly Manager and the Fabrication Manager to assure daily equipment PM’s are completed by the respective operators prior to equipment use.
- Responsible for determining and documenting which equipment will require outside resources for service. Individual will be responsible for negotiating and scheduling of annual service contracts where applicable.
- Work with the Director of Operations to make recommendations on capital equipment replacement programs for equipment that is approaching its end of life cycle.
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and work order requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, minor carpentry.
- Manage fleet of all company vehicles and perform snow removal and landscaping tasks.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or HVAC trade school preferred or at least a certificate with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance field.
- Ability to read tape measures, schematics, blueprints, drawing, etc.
- Good electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills, be able to operate meters and read gauges.
- Possess and maintain a valid NYS drivers license.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written, PC literate.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate overhead cranes & forklifts.
- General Knowledge of Heating and Cooling Systems
- General Knowledge of process systems to include but not limited to operations of pumps, combustions burners, air handling systems, gas generated steam boilers.
