Mechanical Engineering Manager
Salary: $85,000 to $97,000 per year
The Mechanical Engineering Manager is responsible for all Washers, Dryers, Tunnels, Presses, Shuttles and Conveyors. This Mechanical Engineering Manager will be the technical leader for this family of products as well as the Manager for all personnel assigned to these groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direction, mentorship and performance reviews for all personnel assigned to your group. This responsibility includes setting clear, detailed goals and objectives for the personnel in your group as well as defining annual incentive objectives and professional development needs.

Ensure critical path milestones and business objectives are met on time and on budget

Ensure consistency of design concepts across all Braun product families

Ensure all alpha and beta testing of new components or machine designs are clearly documented in accordance with our existing ISO procedures or develop new quality control testing protocols if needed.

Ensure that all applicable product documentation including TM Sheets, Service Manuals, Installation Instructions, Assembly Instructions, CSA/ETL documentation, Sales Literature, Test Data and any other pertinent product information necessary for proper engineering control is clearly documented and accurate.

Ensure that all engineering changes are accurately and thoroughly documented and communicated via Braun's Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.

Work with the Director of Engineering and Senior Management to establish the strategic direction for this group as it pertains to new product development, product application in the field and legacy system support.

Work with other Braun departments to streamline business processes and improve product designs

Represent Braun at industry trade shows or technical meetings regarding washer, dryer, tunnel, press or material handling equipment technology.

Work with Inside Sales and/or Service to develop project costs and scope of work for customer projects as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in an appropriate engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering, is desired along with 7-10 years minimum experience in the design and engineering support of industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of common engineering practices, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, computer-aided design (CAD) software to include Solidworks, project management techniques, and industrial manufacturing techniques are required.
- Also, must have working knowledge of Failure Effects Analysis (FEA) using computer-aided software.
